A common misconception is that SmartBench is made in a garage, so we decided a blog post on the topic with some background on our unique portable large-format CNC router would be useful for everyone.
Having launched parent company Yeti Tool Limited from a garage in Clevedon near Bristol in April 2018, the company has grown to 25 employees with a global distribution network that already includes the USA, Australia, France, Italy, Germany, New Zealand, Austria and Canada.

Having grown year-on-year since then, Yeti Tool moved to their current Portishead site in late 2020 with 8,500 square feet of industrial space to build the SmartBench.
Our UK factory combines everything in one place, from design to software and mechanical development right through to our production lines, which make 35 SmartBench products per week.
Something we are really proud of is the fact that 87% of all parts used to manufacture our unique portable large-format CNC router come from local suppliers using sustainably-sourced materials wherever possible.
With one new SmartBench rolling off the production line every 90 minutes, our team of engineers are ready to ensure that all the tests and checks are conducted in a timely manner so every CNC router is fully approved before packing and distributing.
The tireless and rigorous testing of every SmartBench we manufacture and sell gives our customers total peace of mind that they are getting a high-quality product to utilise for their CNC projects.
The company focuses solely on the manufacture of our unique large-format CNC router SmartBench, which has delivered sales in 17 countries in 48 months.
