Minnesota-based firm Donavans Homes has been getting busier thanks to SmartBench, with the business owner declaring "It has enabled me to take on new CNC work for construction projects."
Donavans Homes is owned and run by Donovan, who has more than 40 years of experience in the housing sector.
The company specialises in property remodels, renovations and repair expertise. Donavan has even worked on award-winning construction projects.
Having purchased a SmartBench in Spring 2023, he has been using his new router machine without having any prior experience as he commented:
"I didn't have any CNC experience before purchasing SmartBench. I was using table saws and track saws. It was very easy for me to learn CNC with SmartBench, and I've had a good response with customer support."
Donavan uses his CNC machine mainly for cabinetry in construction work, as well as some sign-making and other general woodworking projects.
"SmartBench has allowed me to take on larger cabinetry projects and to work directly on site due to its portability," said Donavan.
"SmartBench has also allowed me to be more efficient when building cabinetry as well as working with more precision."
Donavan is now completing more construction projects in less time and plans to increase the amount of CNC work in construction he completes in 2024.
"I will be refocusing my jobs to more custom CNC work in the future, and thanks to SmartBench I can now reduce other types of time-consuming work."
