Vectric: Adjusting feeds and speeds

This article will help you understand how to change cut path specific settings for a tool you use in your job.

Overview

Vectric has a tool database, where you can edit settings for the tools you use. These settings are applied when you assign a tool to a new toolpath. You can later adjust the specific toolpath settings without affecting the database stored values for that tool.

Edit cut path specific tool settings

When creating a cut path you will be asked to select a tool. Once a tool has been selected, you can adjust the settings, which will be specific only to the cut path you are creating. In this example we will use Quick Engrave cut path set up. Click on Edit...

Any setting you change in this Edit Tool window will only affect the cut path you are creating and will not change the Vectric tool database settings.

Confirm your changes by clicking on the OK button. If you click on Cancel, your changes will be discarded.
