Checking the PCB constraint

Current configuration

The current specification for spindle PCB constraint has changed to improve the user experience in removing the top cover (when changing brushes). It was found that removal of the 10mm nut around the data socket could cause damage to the PCB if the wrong tooling was used. Therefore the assembly has changed to eliminate the need for the 10mm nut. 

The current specification is as follows:

1: No fastening of the data port socket on the top side of the plastic cover (any 10mm nut removed)

2: 2x O-rings on the data port socket, on the underside of the plastic cover

3: The top plastic cover compressing the PCB into the lower body using a single bolt

What to do if the spindle has a legacy configuration

If your spindle has a 10 mm nut on the data port (legacy configuration), you may want to consider removing the 10 mm nut to ease disassembly next time you want to change brushes and to make process of screwing on the data cable easier

If the 10mm nut is removed, the data socket MUST have a second o-ring to ensure that the PCB is seated correctly as above
