If you haven't seen it already - where have you been?
Just days after returning from exhibiting at AWFS in Las Vegas, Ron Paulk (The Designer of The Smart Woodshop) posted his 11 minute (yes 11!!!) conversation with Andy Mclaren - Sales Director at YetiTool.
What were you initial thoughts of SmartBench?
Well Ron is certainly very well respected for his innovative approach to mobile woodworking solutions, I for one am very interested in his views on the Yeti Smart Bench and keen to see if he gets his hands on one. Ron, like many of us, uses Sketch-up so I'm interested to see how easy it is to export to the G-Code format the Yeti CNC needs to run.
I have been doing a little research into this after seeing posts from many users with SketchUp. There is a Plug-in available called SketchUcam (https://openbuilds.com/projectresources/sketchucam.1/) which looks like it will export using the GRBL post processor in order to run the files on SmartBench,
Ill be looking into this a little further and ill update you on my progress through this thread. Have you had a look at Fusion 360?
