What makes a good stock material for routing?

Use a material, which is:

  • Possible to use with SmartBench (see the list of materials below).

  • Flat.

  • Big enough for the job.

  • Appropriate for what you want to create.

These are common stock materials that work well with SmartBench:

  • softwood

  • hardwood

  • plywood

  • MDF

  • laminates

  • plastics

  • soft metals
