How to use the YetiPilot at the Console for preset profiles.

< Previous | List | Next >

Pre-requisites

Turn on YetiPilot

Turn on YetiPilot with the On/Off button:

Select the preset profile

Click on the settings gear icon on the right hand side to open up the profile selection dialogue:

Select one of the preset profiles according to your job setup:

Note that Yeti Tool continues to test different materials and cutters with YetiPilot, and the number of available profiles will increase with future software updates.

If you do not find a profile that suits your exact combination do not use a similar profile instead you can experiment with making your own in the “Advanced profile” tab.

Start the job

Start the job as normal.

You will see the feed rate automatically adapt to suit the job.

Mid-job notes

  • YetiPilot can be switched on/off mid-job.
  • When YetiPilot is on, feed may not be manually adjusted, however spindle speed (RPM) can.
  • Spindle power may also be adjusted mid-job using the "Advanced profile" tab in the settings dialogue. Be advised though that increasing the power too far away from the default preset value will increase cutter deflection and increase the risk of cutter breakage.
  • Please refer to our YetiPilot troubleshooting article if you experience any issues.
