Spindle speed fix
Throughout 2023, we have been working on improving the real-time spindle speed for the Yeti Tool SC series of spindle motors.
To do this, we are applying a new algorithm which means you will see a change in your spindle speed
This mainly affects lower RPM’s, however as spindle speed is one of the two most important factors alongside feedrate, we recommend that any files that have been created prior to updating your console software are checked and adjusted to accommodate for the new changes.
New YetiPilot profiles
We have been working on 2 new material profiles for YetiPilot; Extruded acrylic and Hardwood plywood. You can find more information about cutting them here.
Updated YetPilot profiles
We have now updated the YetiPilot profiles for birch plywood and MDF following further testing.
GRBL $ setting auto-restore
GRBL settings are now restored from a local backup should the system fail to read correctly.
Shape cutter
ShapeCutter is now available on Console XL
UI Improvements
Spindle now requires 1s button press to turn on
We have now implemented a new spindle switch-on procedure which requires you to hold the button for 1 second.
Probing now has a dedicated screen to avoid accidental screen touches
To avoid additional button taps, a screen is now displayed when probing.
Patches
- Z retracts are now consistent & safer
- Spindle cannot be on while probing
- Job recovery now handles G2/G3 commands with R parameter
