Noisy in operation

.

If your spindle is unusually noisy in operation, you should:

  • Check the condition of the brushes. Especially the brush wire location. Check that the brushes are still over 9.5 mm long (illustrated here).

  • Check that the spindle clamp is not over-tightened when loaded into the ZHead.

  • Check that your cutting tool is still straight - bent tools will cause significant vibration and damage,  and should be discarded immediately.
