If you already have a Precision Pro+ you don’t need to read this step, since it will already come with an SC2 spindle.
If your machine is a v1.3 (find out by following this article) you can upgrade to a PrecisionPro+ with YetiPilot.
Follow the steps below to enable PrecisionPro + features on your machine.
1. Remove your existing spindle motor from the Z Head
2. Open the upgrade application from the lobby screen
3. Clamp your spindle motor down as per the spindle motor clamping technique
4. Insert your new SC2 and plug in the cables and ensure it is switched on.
5. Enter your upgrade code into the box
6. Lost your unlock code? Please submit a ticket here and quote your spindle number on your console
Once you have upgraded, this is the process to switch between SC1 and SC2 spindles
