What is a Spindle Motor health check

< Previous | List | Next >

Health check is a short sequence which YetiPilot runs at the beginning of a job. It switches on your spindle at 25k RPM for ~5 seconds, and measures its ‘in air’ load.

This is done to confirm that your spindle is in good condition and is ready to be used with YetiPilot. Your spindle’s ‘in air’ load is a good indicator of its condition.

If your spindle’s ‘in air’ load is determined to be too high, a warning pop-up will appear and YetiPilot won’t be available (see Spindle motor health check for troubleshooting).

If your spindle fails the health check, you may still proceed with your cut in manual mode.
